Operator intervention interlock EXT.OP during individual drive functions (IDF)
A description of this resolution:
- Select the affected IDF in the other OS
If an operation of an IDF from a certain OS is blocked „unfoundedly" with „EXT.OP", this IDF will have to be selected in the other operator stations.
When selecting the IDF from the OS, which has set the „frozen" operator intervention interlock, this interlock will be cancelled. The answer code „EXT.OP" disappears and the IDF may be operated normally.
Beginning with SW version 8.0H the operator intervention interlock is taken back before a local intervention occurs.
The error appears rarely. It occurs mainly in connection with indivdual drive functions and controllers which are switched on-site or locally.
"Operator intervention interlock EXT.OP during individual drive functions (IDF)" resolves the following:
Under certain conditions the operator intervention interlock of an IDF remains "frozen" in the system image, so that this IDF for a certain time can only be operated by an operator station (OS).
When selecting the IDF, the additional answer code "EXT.OP" will appear, when operating the operator message "OP.ACCESS INHIBITED" will appear. The tag can only be operated from the OS, from which it was last operated.
The underlying cause is:
- Software error
The error appears only when:
a) the IDF had been operated and in this function OS remains as dialed and
b) within the next minute:
- a reset of the OS occurs or an init of the OS occurs or a local intervention occurs on an IDF (immediately after the operation) or a controller output card had been switched on „local".
