Deactivation of the automatic Vis start under the users freelancer and administrator with the operating systems WinNT4.0 and Win2000.
- Comply with and carry out the specific handling.
A system is configured with automatic Vis start with the freelancer user, who has been allocated main user rights.
When the computer starts, Vis opens automatically.
If changes are to be made to this PC which require administrator rights, the user has to change his log on and also deactivate the automatic Vis start where applicable.
This procedure differs according to the installed operating system and which version of AC800F is being used.
The following constellations are possible:
- WinNT 4.0 and AC 800F version V6.2 (and smaller) Win2000 and AC 800F version V6.2 Win2000 and AC 800F version V7.1
1. WinNT 4.0 and AC 800F version V6.2 (and smaller)
Close DigiVis (the administrator should know the password).
Automatic DigiVis start can be deactivated under freelancer in the group Freelance 2000 Tools V6.2.
2. Win2000 and AC 800F version V6.2
Select the group Freelance 2000 Tools V6.2 and go to DigiVis Configure.
Log on as administrator in the next window.
Once DigiVis Configure has opened, automatic Vis start can be deactivated.
3. Win2000 and AC 800F version V7.1
Close Vis (the administrator should know the password).
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and log off.
In the logging on window, enter administrator and the password =>OK.
Vis now starts up again, but Vis start can then be reconfigured to 'manual' under Configure in the group Freelance 2000 Tools V7.1.
- System Security
Most customer systems want an automatic Vis start under a freelancer user. This freelancer user usually has no administrator rights, but is main user.
If the user wants to log on as administrator at a later point in time for service purposes, and deactivates the automatic Vis start for this purpose, the necessary handling can differ depending on the operating system being used and the AC800F version.
- Handling can differ depending on the installed operating system and the installed AC800F version.
There is no causal error. The installed operating system dictates the handling.
