- For every application program with a PIP, ensure that every PIP is running in MAN mode when the program starts up.
To this end, set the controller to MAN mode via the operation or via PARAMETRIZE/SIMULATE at inputs +AUT = -AUT = 0.

In the PIP algorithm, TA is calculated as tn - tn-1, for which tn is the time of the current PIP processing operation and Tn-1 is the time of the previous PIP processing operation.
In the case of a 'Task Start', tn-1 = 0. As a result the value of TA can become very large and it is possible for the PIP to jump to the MAX or MIN alarm value.
A 'Task Start' is also carried out during loading once the program has been copied to the EEPROM and started there.
