Binary input signals that are assigned to alphanumerics and that have extensions which do not display any alternate values always work with the alternate value "Current_Value".
It is possible to configure a different alternate value manually which will then always be displayed regardless of the system package being used.
"Alternate value strategy for binary signals" resolves the following:
- Automation
For system package 3.11 and higher the default entry for alternate values of binary inputs has been changed from "Current_Value" to "Alternate Value_Low". The "Alternate Value_Low" is automatically displayed in the extension of the configured binary input by the graphic editor.
System packages prior to 3.11 work with the default alternate value "Current_Value" which is not displayed explicitly by the graphic editor.
