Parameterizing in P-cards
A description of this resolution:
- Load all P-bus parameters
System packages ¡Ý 2.61 use the multi-batch mode. Select the option 'Load all P-bus parameters'.
Then all the program parts are completely reloaded and the parameter values in the system correspond to the program printout. But the current parameter settings are then reset to the original values. If the user wants to transfer the amended parameter values from the old version to the new version, they have to be updated in the new program version using the editor before 'Compile/Link/Load'.
'Parameterizing in P-cards' resolves the following:
When a new program version has been loaded the parameter settings in P-cards are not identical with the program printout under the following conditions:
A new program version is being applied.
In the old, loaded program version, parameters are then changed in the P-cards.
The new version is then compiled, linked and loaded and the option 'Load amended P-bus parameters' is selected (applies to system package ³ 2.61).
The underlying cause is:
- Incorrect handling
The parameter settings for the P-cards in the system correspond to the old program version with the amended parameter values. The new version was created from a copy of the old version before the parameters were changed. These parameter values have not been changed in the new version and thus are not marked as 'changed'.
