- Before making alterations, check whether wrong extensions are being used.
To achieve correct functionality, the local variable must be altered back to an alphanumeric of any name.
Before altering an alphanumeric to a local variable, check all uses of the alphanumeric for wrong extensions. Search for the signal name using ^FA.
'^AC, Wrong Extensions' resolves the following:
- Service Station
After an alphanumeric has been altered to a local variable, wrong extensions result which cannot be created with the configuration functions (e. g. multi-variable with the extension 'UG'). This leads to wrong data being used.
The underlying cause is:
- Existing extensions remain unchanged after an alteration.
When an alphanumeric is altered to a local variable, only the signal name, the signal type and the help text are changed.
