Starting redundancy balancing manually
- If a diagnostics computer absolutely must operate at this location of the CE system, the following instructions must be carried out:
- Carry out station init. Just like the station stop, this has an affect on both redundant stations. As usual, enter system data or load and configure or load configuration data. Then start station, whereby the CE coupling run is started automatically. These actions only affect the currently active station. Do not start the redundancy UPDATE until the CE coupling run of the PBM 90 has been completed (check with service station!). If a redundancy switch-over occurs during a coupling run of the PBM 90, the above points 1. to 3. must be carried out. The status of the stations can be displayed with the keys OVERVIEW, LONG OVERV. It must be ckecked following the redundancy update. The redundancy balancing of the PBM 90 is, as usual in CE, be indicated by the green LED flashing. During this time the automatic redundancy switch-over is blocked. A manual switch-over (via the system dialog) is nevertheless possible, however currently impractical.
In contrast to the redundancy balancing of the PBM 90 module, which starts automatically, the redundancy update of the 'CL' must be started manually in the system dialog (STAT.CONFI, REDUNDANCY, UPDATE).
Premature starting is not blocked by the system and leads to a faulty update. The redundancy switch-over is not blocked during the CE coupling run. Currently no events are initiated which indicate the start and end of the UPDATE, of the PBM 90 balancing or of the CE coupling run.
