Task priority 1 for modem programs
- The EPC-DB of the modem CMX must be completely cleared for the task priority 1.
There are two possibilities to do this, however at least the task with the priority 1 is out of operation for the reconfiguration period:
- Compile, link and load an empty task with priority 1 and a dummy module (AND, OR). Convert and load the old task with the new priority and the modem task with priority 1.
- Run the affected CMX module through basic initialization and then load the changed programs.
- Service Station
A problem occurs when preparing a modem program for a CMX module which already has a program with the priority 1.
The error message "Task priority already assigned" appears.
If the task priority of the old program is then changed (the modem program must have the priority 1), the following error message appears during linking: "Alphanumerics already used as souce in task <task name>".
- CMX souce alphanumerics and the EPC data base have the same information on task priority.
Source alphanumerics loaded in an CMX possess the task priority as origin information. The same information is also in the EPC-DB (data base).
This means that the linker must produce the above error message, as the assignment of the source alphanumeric and the origin is only carried out via the priority.
The linker has no information on the fact that the changed task is identical to the old task, which had the priority 1.
