CMX 40 - Expanding an SA-bus
- Run hardware EPI and relink all units on the affected SA-bus.
The problem can be avoided by first linking new coupling CMX modules via the SA-bus (i. e. from a unit of an existing island, e. g. from the other coupling CMX).
When expanding an SA-bus which consists of more than one unit, the subscriber number 1 is assigned when the new coupling CMX is linked from its island via the A-bus.
In the linking unit the 1 is represented as its own subcriber number for the SA-bus, however the EPC of the other unit is entered in the subscriber list entry 1.
Only a single CMX (without redundance) is linked on this SA-bus. Other CMXs are to be linked on this SA-bus, whereby an CMX from the ‘new’ island serves as the linking unit.
- The individual unit sends no telegrams on the bus, as no other subscribers are entered.
As a result, the newly inserted units are not entered, so that at first the subscriber list remains empty in the new units. When linking the new unit it is assigned the subscriber number 1 due to the empty SA-bus subscriber list.
