Buffer-memory register in the event of bus line failure
- Reset all active flashing bus couplers
If during a service call-out a bus line is put out of operation (e. g. when replacing a bus control unit or interrupting a bus line) all active flashing bus couplers will have to be reset by pressing the reset switch before putting the bus line into operation again.Failure of a bus line during operation (e. g. in the case of power failure):
- Serial bus
When a bus line fails while a write command on a bus coupler is still active, a subsequent read command can be converted into a write command.
Wrong values may be written in the buffer-memory register of date/clock-time of a station.
- Failure of a bus line
The fault occurs when a bus line fails and an active bus coupler (PBK10/12) no longer receives any bus assignment (yellow LED flashes). This may, for instance, occur when interrupting a bus line, when replacing a bus control unit, in case of power failure and power recovery etc.
