Loop Template & Ladder Logic faceplate callup is very slow (Process Portal B w/ MOD)
Problem:Solution
- Use Server as the node type during install.
Use Server as the node type. Note: Even with Server install, Ladder Logic faceplates can be slow because they are assigned to the four second MOD OPC group. If data does not appear in 16 seconds, refresh the faceplate to update the data. When the faceplate is cached, it will respond more quickly.
- Loop Template & Ladder Logic faceplate display callup is very slow
Invoking Loop Templates or Ladder Logic faceplates can take 30 or more seconds. The Internet Explorer window is locked during this time as well.
- Client selected as node type during install
With PPB 1.0, MOD300 Connect 2.1 and previous, selecting Client as the node type during the Process Portal B installation forces the display request to be processed outside of this node. This process is very slow, and locks the window during processing.
