Initializing HP-UX 9 system. In HP-UX 9 systems, the initializing system check fails. Checking the /usr/adm/rc.log shows:Dump time is unreasonableFailure detected by function init_system: save_core returned 1Output from swap_start function :This indicates one of two problems.Either the /etc/savecore file does not exist of it is not world readable and executable. (-r-xr-xr-x)The /tmp/syscore directory doesnot exist. This will not affect the runtime operation of the system; however, if the system crashes a system core file will not be saved.Since these files can be very large (= system memroy) this may have been done to save disk space if crashes became frequent. The files under /tmp/syscore should be archived to tape and deleted from the system.
