Attempted to load Netstation 9.01. The swinstall analysis failed.
- Load only required files
Unable to load Netstation 9.01 to an OS1.6/1 OS. After upgrading his OS to OS1.6/1 and attempted to load Netstation 9.01 the swinstall analysis failed. There was insufficient disk space in the /opt LVM. This used to work properly for Netstation 8.01, however Netstation 9.01 is approx. one and a half times the size. What needs to happen is that instead of loading all 8 Netstation subproducts/filesets, we load only the ones we really need, thereby decreasing disk usage. In swinstall, with the Netstation 9.01 media in the proper drive:
- Double click on B4474FA Netstation 9.01 Double click on netstation. You will see 8 subproducts/filesets Ensure the only marked filesets areLoad only these four filesets, select the other subproducts/filesets with Mouse Button One, then use Mouse Button Three to Unmark for Install. The analysis and load will then work.
To see how much disk space netstation has used on the OS:
du -s /* this gives # blocks, divide by 2 to get # MBytes */
Netstation 8.01 (all filesets) 188,076 which is approx 95 Mb
Netstation 9.01 (four filesets) 52, 926 which is approx 26 MbProblems
