OS1.6/1 AdvaCommand Station Boot hangs
- Close HPTerm windows
At the AdvaCommand Auto Startup Interface window, if you select YES to and then select OK to startup your AdvaCommand station, the station will not begin the boot process until the HPterm you requested is closed.
Iconizing the HPterm will NOT help, it needs to be killed. You can spawn another HPterm window from within the original HPterm and then kill the original HPterm however. This will allow the station to boot.
If you request the HPterm and do not log on, the station will not startup until the HPterm window has been killed or times out (approx 15-20 sec).
During this 'Suspended State', if you run Glance you will typically see < 10 processes with X at the top if you've sorted by CPU. Typically during a normal startup, there could be 75 or more processes running concurrently.
