- Manually configuring EISA
If the processor on an Advant system is replaced and the new processor has never been used as an Advant station, the eisa board will be present but the PU510 communications board will not be configured. This can be done by invoking:

At this time you can type '?' for a list of commands. Type 'cfgfiles' to find the available eisa device files. The file used for the PU510 is '!ABB0510'. To configure, at the EISA: prompt type
This will assign the PU510 to eisa slot 1. When the station is rebooted, you will then see the PU510 board appear during the eisa configuration portion of the reboot.
When a system is started up with the eisa properly configured in the kernel but not in the hardware, various indications occur, but the most obvious is a failure of the RTAB to load.
