Population of Location Table
- Using the gtuPopLT utility to populate the Location Table
The gtuPopLT utility requires that loop list files are created in order to populate the Location Table. It is probably the easiest to create these files on the ES and then ftp them to the IMS. Procedure is as follows:
- Log on to the ES as ocsmgr (operator might work too) Start sqlplus and connect it to the project that contains these loops. To do so, enter the following at the Unix prompt.> sqlplus projrectname_CFG/projectname_CFG To make the files:
Note: Loop.lst is an arbitrary name of a file where the names of the continuous loops will be sent. gtuPopLT utility is smart enough to put pid, am, and straight continuous loops into the correct parts of the Location Table.
Clean up these two files with an editor of your choice. Remove all labels, dashed lines and any other lines that do not contain loop names ftp these two files to the IMS and use them with the gtuPopLT utility. Open terminal window on the IMS and type the following:
1200 is an optional time-out parameter. Time to wait for each set of 100 objects to be resolved. Default is 600 sec.
Location table should be now re-populated.
