RNRP Service fails to start
RNRP Service fails to start on 3rd Party OPC Connectivity Servers (800xA Node).
These servers have 800xA installed and 3rd Party OPC clients use AfwDsOPC Surrogate application to access 800xA data.Symptoms:
It was discovered that RNRP Host file was modified and somehow the entry <CR> <LF> at the end of the Host file was deleted.
The missing entry could only be viewed by opening the Host file with Notepad ++. Windows uses <CR><LF> (carriage return; line feed) for line endings.
To correct the issue, everything below "Begin_800XA_RNRP was deleted inside the host file and then the Host file was refreshed from RNRP wizard. This updated the Host file with all IP addresses and host entries and the entry <CR><LF> was added automatically at the end of the host file.
The missing <CR><LF> entry in the RNRP Host file was the root cause of the crash.
