Time on Reel Report not correct
The time reported on the reel report is not consistent with the reel start and reel stop times. This started happening after a power bump in the mill that caused several resets on the Advant Operator stations on the MB300 network. The PC Program PC20 was referenced to find how the time was calculated. The loop runs at 4 seconds and as long as the current reel is not updated by a sheet turn up, the time is added. It appeared that the loop was running faster than 4 sec.Symptoms:
Reading the time on the engineering station connected to the AC450 severl times showed that the time actually went backwards. This gave a positive indication that there were two time sources. This system was set up to use the object server to set system time. After checking the system message logs for the Advant operator station the second time master was found. The clock synch database element in the Advant operator station was set to (0,2,0) to remove it as a clock master. An RTA backup was performed. This is necessary to back up the changes to the clock synch element so that if a reset occurrs again it will have the correct values.
