SMAR Device System Alarms issue
It was discovered that "simulation mode" was the source of not getting any system alarms on SMAR devices. The SMAR document describes that when the Hardware jumper is ON Simulation mode will be active. While the Simulation is active, it blocks the other device alarm conditions. Simulation Active shows up in the Resource block and AO Function Block (parameter 6.4).
Once the Hardware jumper J1 was changed from ON to OFF, Simulation mode disappeared. System Alarms started working. Now Resource Block in OOS mode does trigger the system alarm for OOS.
To change Hardware Jumper on the device, follow the below steps:
1> Open the front cover of SMAR FI302 and remove the Display Unit. Jumpers are located on inside assembly as shown below in the attached diagram.
2> SMAR FI302 device has 2 sets of jumpers J1 and W1. Factory Set jumpers J1, W1 are ON by default. Move J1 jumper from ON to OFF.
