Workplace Does Not Function Correctly with Internet Explorer 9 on SV5.1 and SV5.1 Rev A Systems
After a new installation, it is noticed that the following script errors and dialog box may appear when attempting to open a workplace (it often doesn't matter which user is launching the workplace, nor does it matter which workplace is opened):
The supported version of Internet Explorer for 800xA SV5.1 and SV5.1 Rev A is 8.0. If you find you have IE9 installed (as many newer computers do), you can uninstall it, and you will be automatically reverted back to IE8.
In Control Panel, click Programs and Features.
Click the "View Installed Updates" link on the left.
Find the Internet Explorer entry, select it, then click Uninstall.
Following a reboot, you will have Internet Explorer 8 installed. This should allow the workplace to function normally.
Note that Internet Explorer 9.0 support is added in SV5.1 Rev B.
