Reports in EH 3.2/2 Report Scheduler can Hang
A user can have multiple reports configured to run on a schedule in the Report Scheduler of the EH 3.2/2.
Reports, such as daily reports, will be configured to run on a daily basis at a specific time.
Certain sites have noticed that the given reports can stop executing for no apparent reason. After stopping, a reboot or a restart of the EH software from the PAS is required to get the reports started again.Symptoms:
It has been found that if a report takes too long to execute such that it is still being executed when the next next scheduled report wants to start, can cause the scheduler to hang.
When the scheduler hangs, no further reports will be executed.
The fix is to manually adjust the start times of the various report entries to insure that a report has adequate time to complete before the next report is scheduled. A user may need to run the report manually in the scheduler to determine the MINIMUM time needed to allow for the report to complete. It is recommended that a safety factor be added to the time, typically 50 - 100% of the report execution time (or greater) to ensure there won't be an overlap between reports.
