AC450 FCB and ONB
Good day, my problem is that my PC where I had installed APB 2.7 , and this PC i used for connected to AC450 was demaged. I have backup from disk so I have folder PROJ, SRCE etc. When i installed APB2.7 to another old PC with ISA slot , use DSPU110, and i copy original folder PROJ from old PC in FCB i dont see names of connection in pc elements. I copied also PCMASS , but it is not working properly.
Can you help with this
Thanks a lot
The names of connections, page breaks etc are all contained in the Symbol table - which you have correctly identified as being in the PCMASS directory of the Engineering station. On Line Builder uses the symbol table in PCMASS to show the names of connection in online mode.
There SHOULD be a Backup of the symbol table in the controller. And this SHOULD always be properly up to date.
When you connect the new programming unit to the AC450 it will verify the version numbers of the Symbol Table in PCMASS against the backup of the symbol table in the AC450. If your engineering station backup is old, it is very likely that the symbol table on the engioneering station is old - and you should NOT use it. Do NOT copy the symbol table to the AC450 controller backup area.
The safest method should be to connect a new clean Engineering station to the AC450 controller
- Verify the revision number of the Symbol Table in the AC450 backup using the SHUDAS command.
- Copy the symbol table from the backup area in the AC450 to the Engineering station using the RUDAS command.
- Rebuild the FCB programs by dumping source code from the controller.
FCB does not use the PCMASS symbol table. Names are added to the source code by Online Builder when the source code is dumped from the AC450 controller.
