Using PU 410 to connect to AC 70 (PM 410)
We have a system with 800xA, AC 450 and AC 70 (PM 410). The 800xA is connected to the AC450 over a MB300 network (connected using PU410 engineering board/box). The AC70 is connected to the AC450 over AF100-bus.
Is it possible to program/configure the AC70 using Function Chart Builder and route the connection through the PU410? The manual (3BSE 009 626R401, AMPL Configuration Advant Controller 100 Series Reference Manual, Chap. 7 Connecting a Controller to an Engineering Station) does not give any exomaples using PU410...
If the direct connection (Computer with Comtrol Builder A <-> AC70) is the only solution; what kind of cable should be used? Should the computer pe connected to serial port using pin 2/3 (channel B) of the SERVICE port of AC70, or pin 7/8 (channel A)?
I understand that backup from the controller is impossible. Is there a way to compare and/or verify the existing backup with the version on the controller?

Answer to question 1:
It can be done but only when you have a dedicated PU410 for the engineering pc not if it's a shared PU410 (in use with the 800xA CS). But do note that an initial load should be over a serial connection
Answer to question 2:
You connect to the service port
Answer to question 3:
Do you still have the engineering pc with wich the AC70 is loaded? Then you can go online in FCB and check if it's the same (target --> report status) After that you can make source code and transfer that to the new engineering pc. Then you have to clear the AC70 and load it from the new engineering pc.
