Communication between AC800M and BRCS for Pharmaceutical Industry
We have been using Modbus TCP to transfer data between AC800M's and BRC's. However this interface is not fast enough for the pharmaceutical industry. MMS communication has come up as a possible alternate communication protocol to use. In theory could the AC800M be set up to communicate with BRC's using MMS protocol( there is the MMS library in Control Builder!) .

I think the real question you should be asking is WHY is a communication link "too slow" for your purpose ?
Modbus TCP over ethernet is not a slow protocol. It has very high transmission speeds and a very short turnaround time. So you can place a very large amount of information on the interface and still get pretty good transmission intervals. If Modbus TCP is too slow, then MMS and pretty much any other communication link will also be "too slow".
What specifically do you, or your customer, mean by too slow. What is the problem you are actually trying to resolve ?
