How to compare the last 20 batch data with actual batch in a 800xA trend?
My customer has a 800xA 5.1 system with IM (but without batch management).
They have a batch process and would like to display on a trend the average of the last 20 batch data to allow operators to compare this average trend with the actual batch trend.
One way is to use Excel to calculate the average trend data and push it back to 800xA historian (using a lab log). Then, operators could compare the average trend to the actual batch trend and see if something is going wrong or unusual with those process values trend.
It could work, but I'm wondering if you would know a better approach with 800xA or IM functions.
Thanks,
Benoit

Check the 'Time Offset' property on the trenddisplay. It may be all you need.
Search for 'Time Offset' in the online help or in the 'Operator Workplace Configuration' manual.

Hello.
I am wondering how do you calculate the average trend if different batches are running in different duration?
