I have a TU846 MTU that is connected to TU810V1 (DI840 mounted on this TU). I have a single Module DI840 on the configuration. Will that work?
I am getting F( fault) on the I/O module.
The TU846 is a redundant MTU for CI840 with dual ModuleBus connectors for redundant applications. TU810V1 is for single applications only - it has only one ModuleBus connector, so You surely noticed it even connects wirdly with redundant MTU. For this to work You would need to change the TU846 for TU847, which supports redundant CI840 (has two slots for them), but has a single ModuleBus connector (so it's for single IO modules cluster with communication modules redundancy).
The other way around is to build a fully redundant cluster, but You would need a redundant MTU for DI840 (for example TU842 or TU843) and another (second) DI840 module for this to be fully operational.
Hope this helps,
by default TU846 designed for dual electrical module bus supported devices.
you can try by terminating any one modulebus with TB807 and connect your TU810 and check.
We tried it was working fine in one of plant but my suggestion is use always TU847 in case of single line ecltrical module bus is required to avoid any EOL problems it amy cause values freeze in your IO's
