How to communicate Siemens Y-Link with PM861A in Redundant Configuration
Dear sir,
I would like to communicate Siemens Simocode with ABB PM861A controller via Y-link. Now, I am trying to create the GSD file for redundancy support following the steps as per Siemens website (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/24220825...). I am using Compact Control Builder 5.1.0/1(Build 5.1.100.13).
While GSD conversion, steps 1 & 2 cannot be done as GSD Import tool is not available. Only Device Import wizard is available in CCB and in there no Enh Convert option is available. I have attached the resulting HWD file also. Please let me know how to utilise it as per the procedure shown in the link. Updating Checksums is also not possible.
I am totally confused, please help me through the process on how to incorporate Y-link into Compact Control Builder with redundancy support.
Should I use the gsd file IM153-2_HF_DPV1_H, instead of doing the conversions.
Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with redundant AC800M and Y-Link but for connecting of single-channeled slaves - Simocode in your case, Dp/Dp coupler in my case - I've used standard ABB device RLM-01, which converts redundant Profibus-DP from redundant AC800M into single Profibus-DP to slaves and vice versa. Look information about RLM-01 here https://library.e.abb.com/public/728a...
I propose you change Y-Link to RLM-01. Next, you have to import gsd file of Simocode in CCB via Device Import Wizard. It's quite simple procedure, sure you will not have problem. Let us know your result.
