How to set KP, TN, TV values in PID?
While applying PID loop to control valve, how should we decide the KP,TN and TV values? Is there any formula? I once used random values for KP and TN (TV as 0) and I got the response as expected. but I still want to know how it works. can somebody elaborate in this case.

This is a tunning process, is there many formulas to do that, another idea is try and error, you change the parameters and see the results until you have one aceptable response. But ABB have autotunning logic so the best option is to enable the autotuning PID, in Freelance is there one block that you need to programm at the side of your PID.
in control builder M, is there a PID function block or control module that includes autotunning options.
