Over Current fault F0001 with ACS550
Hello
I have problem with VFD ABB ACS550 when the VFD sometimes not all times try to accelerate it shows F0001, that means over current. i checked user manual to solve the problem and increased the acceler time 1 from 10 second until 20 seconds, but the problem the same not changed sometimes VFD works fine and sometimes shows the Faul alarm. I checked motor and run it with anther ACS550 , no problem happened. so to solve half of promlem i made autoreset from group 31 , but i want a better solution because i think the problem with VFD. i noteced something when motor try to accelerates when the problem happen, the motor shaft rotate not softly as flux is not rotates smothelly and the torque is not strong to force the motor to accelerate it. So do i thing the solution with motor control in group 26 and torque control in group 24 ? and what is best paramter to solve that problem?
Thanks

Hi Wadi
a few questions to better understand your problem.
What is the load/application?
The range of frequency / speed where you have most frequently the fault?
Do you have made in the last time other modification to the parameters?
At the moment, you use the drive in V/F mode o vector mode?
Do you have any modification at load?
When you have installed the first time the drive, you never had this fault?
The size of motor and the size of the drive?
I can suggest to re-initialize the drive, paying attention particulary in case of use in vector mode at the values of motor label to write inside group 99.
If possible, disconnect the load and perform one new ID-RUN.
If you give as more information we can help you better
Ok Wadi
vector mode could be optimize the functioning of drive/motor in same application, mainly in torque/speed application.
IMHO this is not your case.
Your answer of point 3:
No i did not, but the problem happened when a little some steam leakage splashed on the VFD after that i got that problem but not mostly.
Every electronic boards/equipment not like steam leakage on the surface.
This is the cause, most likely, of the malfunctioning of the drive. It is very important to avoid this events (steam inside/on the surface of drive).
Probably you should change the drive, because it is non convenient replace only the control board.
Hope this help you

Please I also have an overcurrent fault on Acs600 drive and the drive is not starting. I have changed all control electronic boards but still the fault is there.
What should I do
