How calculate number of " 800xA History Signals – Logs"
From System 800xA 6.0 Product Catalog:
"History signals capable of storing actual and historic values retrieved from 800xA, Heritage ABB DCS systems and OPC sources. The signals include logging, trending, calculations, Alarm and Events, and archiving. Max 75,000 per Server node, signal storage for upto 6 data sources per Server."
What is the calculation method for number of logs? Every second i want to store 9000 parameters within three years. But i dont know how many Alarms and Events will occur in this years. And what is "archiving", "logging" "trending" included in " 800xA History Signals – Logs"?
You can use the 800xA History 2.0 System Size Estimation Sheet to estimate the disk space of the History server based on the update rate, number of logs, storage period etc.,

At first, don't forget the usefull of history log is to store data from a log configuration.
You determine the number you want to archiving.
It depends of what the customer wants.
The definition of number of logs is indicate when you create the IM database.
You indicate the period you want, the number of logs and the IM give you the size of the tables they take in the hard disk.
Regarding the message logs, you must create it independently in the node structure under History tree (look user guide)
and determine a max number of messages (500 000 for example).
