AO Configuration Problems
I've installed Asset Optimization on a test server with the intent of using it for detailed network monitoring and notifications. The installation is on a combined AS/CS/AO node running Server 2012.
The installation of AO seems to be fine. The AssestMonitoring service is in "Service" mode and the AssetMonitoring Engine is "Running" (see AO1 attachment)
My problem is when I add an AO object and configure it, I am not getting data to the new object. I've tried different settings (host name, IP address, etc...) and get the same results (see AO2 attachment)
I've been through the installation, configuration and operation manuals.
I've also installed PNSM and have basic computer assets that are working.
I'm attaching a few screenshots with hopes that someone will notice something that I have overlooked (see AO3 attachment).
Basic Computer Assets dont require PNSM. So if they are working it doesnt mean PNSM assets will also work.
The error you have is AdditemError which means IT OPC server service might not be working. Check services for IT Server.
Also run IT device Manager Aspect once to recreate control connection items.
If you are using PNSM object for the asset monitoring then first you have to define the IT server network:OPC data source definition as AfwShadowserver should run on the PNSM server.
Add item error is due to the opc data definition is not defined for the IT server network so please check the same, ensure PNSM needs SNMP services with community public refer the PNSM configuration manual written in brief.
Thank you for the help.
I did have a licensing issue which was resolved and I moved my asset objects under the IT OPC server object.
I am using the Generic_Computer_node_v1_8 object and it is working except for my alarms. I have set CPU load to 2% and the indicator on the faceplate turns red but I do not get any alarms.
I have added the AO alarms to the library template.
Anyone have any thoughts as to what I am missing. I figured if any of the items on the "conditions" tab turn red I should get an alram.
