Tags_red number of faceplates
Hello,
I have a question about license usage. The Tags_red feature counts the number of faceplates in the system. Is this in the total 800xA System or only in the Control Structure?

This has been up to discussion many times here on AKS. Search!
1 TAG = one object outside Object Type Structure having one or more Faceplate or Faceplate PG2 aspects.
- Contrary to previous answer, other graphic aspects does NOT count, not even a Faceplate Element (PG2).
- Only one TAG per object regardless number of Faceplate (PG2) aspects and insertion points into various structures.
TAGS_RED is needed if one or more service group has more than one service provider. Even a 1 AS + 1 CS (ie non redundant) system new out of the box will drain TAGS_RED until AfwTime service group has been reduced down to singular service provider.
With 800xA for Advant Master, all MB300 DAT objects are exempted.
With SafeGuard for Advant Master, a SG controller will count as 1/3 due to its nature of having A+B+virtual side objects.
Opening a faceplate, trend or AE list will trigger allocation of one OPERATOR_WPL or REM_OPER_WPL license seat depending if RDP is used or not. TAGS is regularly counted and drawn from available license seats in CLS regardless if any workplace is open or not.

Its not only number of faceplates but includes number of graphic elements too. and not just control structure but anywhere in system. It is based on how many objects you have faceplates and graphic elements on. If same object has two graphic elements, each graphic element is refered in seperate graphic, one in Control structure and one in Functional structure, then it it will be still counted as 1 license.
