Upgrade 800xA Information Management 5.0 SP2 -> 5.1 FP4 problem
I have the same drives config as in previous version(drive letters and capacity the same or higher).
When the upgrade process is going to get finished(data restore) this error message appears:
Updating GUIDs in the PPA_INFO and NLOG_PPA_INFO tables ...
Exception Message: Failed to update GUIDs in the PPA_INFO table
Exception Origin: HsBarModule.cpp @ 1043
When i cancel the restore at this point database seems to be working, all log configs are restored but the data are inaccessible in 800xA system(when i try to read data in log configuration from IM, nothing appears).
Any ideas ?
The PPA_INFO & NLOG_PPA_INFO tables are the glue that holds together the connection between the Aspect System and the Oracle Logs in the IM. There are some SQL scripts that can be run to determine if there is a mis-match between the two tables.
This first script will list the number of Log Templetes that are being utilized in the system.
select count(*) from object_table where object_type =10;
This script will verify that the number is the same that is being reported as being created.
select count(*) from ppa_info where log_id in ( select object_id from object_table where object_type =10 );
If the proceeding two queries did not come up with the same number, then the following scripts must be run to determine what the mismatching information is between them.
select object_id from object_table where object_type=10;
select log_id from ppa_info where log_id in (select object_id from object_table where object_type=10);
Typically, the ppa_info table will not contain at least one of the matching entries as in the object_table when a problem exists.
