Time Synchronisation in 800xA Ver 4.1
I have 800xA ver 4.1 with AC450 controllers, Connectivity servers and AC800M controllers. The clock master as found from the online builder using "Clock_Synch" is AC450 controller. The Clock Synch command reveals that AC450 controller Node-A is the clock master. Also CS-1/CS-2 can send the clock data grams. My question is if the time of my system has exceeded an hour from the standard time. Can i use the online builder command "SDATIME 2015-10-10/'desrired time' " to set the time using the clock master (AC450) in online builder ? Will this change the time of all the controllers on the network and the servers ? If yes thats OK
If not can i use CS-1/CS-2 windows time and change it from there to make the time match the standard time.

I suspect SDATIME (setting time) in a running clock master node will cause it to broadcast the new time (=the rest of the nodes will follow).
If not, issue this command in the node you want to promote as clock master (CLOCK_SYNC element settings must allow it though):
* RET CXAE000,10
In fact, always issue a RDATIME before RET to ensure time is correct before waking up the master.
It should also be possible to set time from any RTA with CLK_SEND=1 and have that time forwarded to the clock master or clock master candidate:
The following must be enabled for Windows time to reach RTA (and further on the MB300 bus):
1) AfwTime Service must be in service state in one of the CS nodes with RTA
2) AfwTime Service setting "Allow clients to set time" must be enabled
3) The client's (where time is changed) node object, Time Server Handler aspect setting "Allowed to set time" must be enabled
4) The user must be "Power User" or better in Windows at the client node used to set time.
5) The RTA belonging to the AfwTime Service in Service state must have CLK_SEND=1
If 1 through 5 is fulfulled, the RTA should get the new time from above and broadcast it on the network. The clock sync task (CXAE000) in the active master, or without master the one in the lowest numbered node with CLK_MAST=TRUE and CLK_SEND will take the time and promote itself as master. A dormant master will not receive this request. Try "KIT" + "ACT" on CXAE000, or warmstart the controller.
With AC 800M on site; your best option would be to use CI855 as Clock Master on MB300 (and have every other node but the CI855 set for CLK_MAST=FALSE, LOC_TIME=2 and CLK_SEND=0).
A CI855 can handle daylight saving time better than any RTA, have excellent SNTP features on "the CPU side" and finally; it will awake as clock master again after controller reset if controller has battery backup. With no battery, you must download to promote it as clock master on MB300.
All other legacy Advant/Master node types need a "clock set" from above to start up as master. Remember the startup screen of MasterView! "Welcome to MasterView - Please set the date and time!"
