Please turn on logging by creating the following file:
Open the file with notepad and create one single line with the following content:
Please note that depending on settings, notepad may automatically add a .txt extension (C:\ac800mc_trace.ini.txt) which will not work. Turn off "Hide extensions for known file types" or use DOS commands to create the file.
Then try to mirror from Control Builder M, CBM again. Now a log file should now be created as:
Please attach the log file.
There could be many reasons for a failed mirroring; one (to CBM) external reason can be "Aspect Directory Read Only Mode" which occur in systems with 2oo3 aspect directory configuration when two servers are lost. Restore at least two running aspect servers or perform "New session" (search user's guides or AKS for help).
If aspect directory is read/write the problem probably involves CBM, the ruleset behind mirroring and the content of the Object Type and Control Structures.
Mirroring towards an (in CBM terms) empty system is often 100% successful. Subsequent mirroring requires some level of harmony between CBM and the aspect directory content. Software problems or external manipulation of CBM project and/or aspect directory content may cause disruptions.
The problem can be easy to spot and in the same time very hard to solve - the SB2 generation of System 800xA is in "Classic" life phase and support will be limited.
Consider filing a support case with your regional ABB support center.
A work around could be to erase the project, object types, etc. from aspect directory and try mirroring against an empty system. This may of course force you to create new connections from process graphics since GUID references will go lost when you delete.
