Alarm List Filter Based on CPU
Question regards System 800xA 5.1 RevD FP4 with AC800M Connect.
We'll be adding more CPU's to the system and quite a few modules in the applications have same classes as there are in the old CPU's applications.
Now I'd like to filter out all alarms from these new CPU's from the main alarm list untill we've tested out the the new code. Is there a way to achieve this without changing the classes for the testing? Alarm Hiding doesn't seem to work that well with these amounts of modules (some alarm get through).
If "Objects and Descendants" filtering is not possible to arrange (eg by inserting objects of interest below some container object) you can add a custom event attribute.
The attribute extension can be set to be in rule for a tree of objects, eg everything below a controller. A few extension definitions can rule over thousands of alarms.
Negative: IM message log (if used) may need some service after adding of a new attribute.
This does look like a way to do it.
If I understand correctly, I should create an Event Attribute Definition aspect to the OPC AE Server for AC800M in the library structure? Then make my own Event attribute, in this case the CPU.
Then create an Event Attribute Object Extension aspect to the applications in the control structure that I want to filter out, and set the appropriate CPU-value to these applications?
