Read data from Freelance 800F by PLC connect in 800xA system
I am standing in 800xA system and trying to read data from a Freelance 800F system. This is how i do it:
I installed 800F OPC server on the 800xA Aspect server. After all setting was done in 800F system, i loaded whole station to OPC gateway and it shown "running".
In 800xA system, i used PLC connect (added object Generic OPC server or PLC generic control network in control structure) to upload all data from 800F OPC server. Then i got all objects and variables from 800F system but all data was frozen. When i subscribed for live data, i showed "Quality: Bad" and "Timestamp: 1/1/1970" ( You can see from attached file).
I could not find where the problem is. Please help me some hints to solve this.
FYI, i do not have 800F controller and i am using 800F emulator for simulation. Does this cause my problem?

Yes, the Emulator can be "problematic". Restart the Emulator and the OPC server. You may even need to boot the PC running the emulator.
BTW. Are you aware that 800xA for Freelance supports the AC800F controller natively? This software option comes with all of the pre-built faceplates, objects, displays etc that you need to integrate an AC800F system into 800xA.
I think you would find this much easier to use than PLC connect and could save you a quite substantial engineering effort.
Do you have controller hardware ? try with that. gateway fetches data from controller and allows OPC to get access to controller data enabled for OPC. And in your network configuration I can see emulator is running on local host and gateway on some local IP, one way try to run emulator on 172.16.4.101 check if that helps.
I am not sure about your full scope and requirement, but as mention by Rob you can use Freelance connect then PLC connect. using freelance connect you can get Freelance faceplate, object and display in native operation system.
