800xA Alarm Manager Service is restarting
the alarm manager service is restarting . But why?
Are there logfiles wich i can check?
The problem occur after an upgrade to RevD-FP4.
I have 3 AS servers on wich the service is running.
At some point the Alarm manager is in error. then i have to disable and enable the service and its in service again.
But in the event list i see that the service is restating on all the servers.

Contact your regional ABB support center!
Check if any xxx_exception.log file is created/updated below C:\ProgramData\ABB\Process Portal A\Log. If so, consider to momentarily turn on "Dump on Exception" in the 800xA Configuration Wizard until one or two dumps have been generated, then immediately turn off the dumping. Compress the dump and make it available to ABB support staff.
EDIT: There are exceptions... please involve regional ABB support.
EDIT: The exception contains "RtlInitUnicodeString()" - what OPC AE server are connected? Any 3rd party? Try disconnecting them and see if the crashes stop.
Do also check:
1) That Alarm Storage figures are within reasonable size (10.000 - 20.000 alarms)
2) If you have any "abnormal acting" alarm clients to the system. It is indeed possible to overload the Alarm Manager, e.g. from too many subscribers of Alarm Global Properties (Objects and Decendants is heavy if structures are deep). A maximum of 25 in parallel active alarm filters is allowed *per system* (refer to the System Guide, 3BSE041434-510).
