Alarms not showing up in alarm list
I am working with the PCDlibrary control modules and, I am trying to get alarms to show up inside a control module's alarm list. In my testing I am using the 'Valve' from the PCDL that I supplied simulated I/O to too ensure a feedback alarm from the valve not closing/opening in the specified time. Inside the faceplate, the little green box indicating a feedback failure fills up but, nothing shows up in the alarm list. I have enabled every single type of alarm to show inside the alarm list configuration. What am I missing to have the alarm show up in the list.

Go back to the start and check ALL the basics ...
- OPC AE connected to the PLC or soft controller
- Alarm and Event Collecter service properly configured
You should not have to touch the default alarm list configurations for PCDL objects - everything should work right out of the box.
Make sure you configured ...
FBConf > 0 to use feedback
FBFilterTimeClose and Open
Run the name uploader then check the Valve is correctly named and the name is unique in the entire system. (search for the valve name. You should find only one instance)
In addition to Rob's input; use CBM to go online with controller, navigate to the alarm emitting object, right click and select Alarm Conditions.
If state is zero (0) the alarm block is not enabled, or set with incorrect parameters, eg illegal characters in name/condition, too long name/condition or not unique name/condition.
State 2 is idle = no alarms to be expected.
State 3+ is alarm. If nothing is listed in xA verify A/E connection between controller and OPC server (smiley faces on the 2nd tab), event collector properly connected and finally no undesired (incorrect) filters in effect.
