Redundancy of MultiSystem Integration; no data from remote system available on client?
Hi I have a 2 redundant systems; SCADA(Redundant AS & CS) and DCS (Redundant AS+CS). My Scada is the remote access server and the DCS is the remote access client.
I have have a good working knowledge of Multi System Integration on a non-redundant system; however I am facing some strange behaviour when I tried to configure the utility for the redundant systems.
I have been able to configure my redundant DCS Servers (AS+CS-1,AS+CS-2) as remote access clients but I understand that both of them are working seperately since both the providers are in service. Also in the connections tab of the service group, each of the servers states that the other one is not connected!
Independently they are working perfectly and all live data can be accessed from these servers!
The probable result of this is that I am unable to see any live data (The alarms work fine) from Multi System Integration on my workstation clients in the DCS system.
Since there is very less documentation on how to configure Multi System in a redundant system, any support would be greatly appreciated!

MI does not have same redundancy/failover concept as other services in 800xA.
Each RAC operates *independently* from the other; disconnected from all RAS it will *not* leave service state (and force clients to failover).
Hence, affinity is recommended to have the clients in the subscriber system to spread evenly over the RACs.
