VB graphic element displaying values using Wingdings font - System 800xA 5.1
A (Visual Basic) graphic element temporarily displayed values using the Wingdings font. After a few minutes the situation was normalized. This happened with only one object on the graphic display, on just one graphic display. Neither the graphic display aspect nor the graphic element aspect were being edited.
Have you guys seen this before?
Thanks in advance.

However, given that Visual Basic 6 is not multi-thread safe just about anything can happen when run on a modern hyperthreaded CPU.
Since Microsoft Windows dropped its support for VB6, so had ABB to do as well.
You will have to live with these random errors or migrate to PG2.
There is an old Product Bulletin, “3BSE068579 - Issues with Visual Basic 6 based Graphics” on ABB Library that
give some hints how to force the workplace application/AfwWorkplaceApplication
to run on a single CPU/core that may reduce the frequency of the issues.
