DO890 Voltage output?
When I measure the output of the DO890 module it shows 24V whether the DO is energised or de-energised. I am testing this first time and I am not sure whether is this correct?
I have used DO880 card in which it gives 24V if energised and 0V if de-energised.
But DO890 is not working in that fashion. Could anyone explain this?
Answer this question Follow
DO890 is Intrinsic Safety module.
It monitors DO status both for energized and de-energised status of it's channels.
If you look in the module's specification, you need to have a load connected:
The module has special output characteristic.
Measuring with a multimeter, especially with an open output circuit, may give you a wrong readings.
So I recommend you to check the output status of the module by LED indicators or online from CBM
