Node Disconnected in Compact HMI although Running Fine
I'm running a single PC node compact HMI instance connected to an AC800M and everything is working fine. I need to enable a property transfer service, and when going to add it in the System Configuration Console, I am able to check it, but cannot deploy, as it says I need to connect the node (it is shown as disconnected for some reason). Compact HMI is running on this PC just fine as a server. When I try to connect under the configuration wizard, it shows the project under "Connected Systems" and there are no other nodes. Any idea what to do here?
Check the System Installer Agent service in Windows. The agent maintains a log file below C:\ProgramData\ABB\...
Have you changed the 800xA Service Account's password since installation? That may disrupt the connection with the System Configuration Console. Only in 6.1 and onwards, password change is possible, then using a dedicated tool.
Or else, removing and reinstalling the agent is usually required - be careful when supplying the user credentials.
With all of this being said, you should be able to just add a Property Transfer service group and provider, manually, outside the realms of the System Installer. In a multi node system firewall exclusion is also needed for said service, but could be omitted as long as there is only one node.
