PM571 and 581 ETH V1.2 Help please
so I am stuck with 12 PLC's i can't communicate with, and it is really important to developed the Proof of concept with those devices before we upgrade them.
PLEASE can you help me to set the IP as the default or change it in a manner that forces it to communicate with the Pc or if I might be required any other way like the (cable TK501, RS232).
-I am using CONTROL BUILDER 3.4 patch 1 and Codesys 22.214.171.124. in a Win 10
-CB 3.4 SCAN feature doesn't work
-Codesys CONFIG-IP doest find the device
-I try to ping the device with the Address display in the LCD (no response)
-I have an old project on the SD card, however, the configuration is not the same
-I found the IP in the backup program in the sd card, but the PLC only reach 255, 99, 99,99 and the old IP was 192,168,1,20
I also follow the instruction in chat i found here in the chat no success.

For PM571 and PM581 you need to use the old software PS501 with only Codesys 2.3 and Sycon.net for fieldbus configuration. You don't need the Control Builder Plus eq. Codesys V3 configuration (No need for CB 3.4 scan feature). So these are the "Additional Tools" at the Control Builder Plus 2.1 installation package. If i remember correctly these PLC's were also delivered without the Ethernet and it was only indicated on the right side sticker with or without -Eth after the plc type eq. PM571-Eth. I guess you are sure that all of them have Ethernet.
I am not sure if this works with Win 10 but here are some instructions.
Normal procedure to find IP Address should be that you start Codesys 2.3, i guess you have a project but maybe create a new blank one. Save it to known location. Navigate to Resources tab (lower left corner) and there select "Tools"->"IP Config". You get popup window "Ethernet Device Configuration" and select "Search Devices". Firewall can block this query. If this doesn't work then you can force the IP Address with serial cable eq. TK501 or TK503.
Close "Ethernet Device Configuration" window. Navigate to "PLC Configuration" at the Resources tab. Go to "Couplers"->"Internal none" right click and select "Replace element"->"PM5x1-ETH Internal-Ethernet". Save project. Navigate to SYCON.net at the resources tab Tools folder. Sycon.net should start now .
On Sycon.net create hardware configuration for internal Ethernet (drag and drop from "ABB"->"Master" folder "PM5x1-ETH" to green line). Right click the icon and select "Configuration...". At the configuration select IP_SETUP and set PLC IP Address and subnet mask. Then select "3S Gateway Driver" and "Gateway Configuration" for the communication parameters. Select your serial communication parameters (defaults work if no one has changed PLC parameters). Then select "Device Assignment" and "Scan" your devices. Now you should see your PLC, select it and press Apply and OK. Configuration window closes. Right click your device icon and select "Connect". Device color should change to green. Right click the icon again and select "Download".
If you have the Ethernet communication then the procedure to change IP address is the same but on "3S Gateway Driver" you select your Ethernet driver.
If this doesn't work then you can change the IP Address also with SD card. If i remember correctly you need at least firmware version 1.2.x or higher for this operation and you can't detect the firmware version without online access. Although you can update the firmware also with the SD Card.
To set the PLC to factory defaults you need at least some communication connection eq. serial or Ethernet. It's done on the Codesys 2.3 top bar "Online"->"Login"->"Reset (Original)"
