Hosts file update got reply from unknown node RNRP error
We are getting the following error in the RNRP log on some nodes in the Client/Server network. What is causing this error and how it can fixed?
Hosts file update got reply from unknown node=1, area=297, Has address changed ?
Answer this question Follow
Fixed by refreshing the hosts file on all affected nodes through RNRP Wizard.
I believe the error to be slightly misquoted, the format is usually "Hosts file update got reply from unknown area=, node=, Has address changed ?"
The maximum possible area number is 63 and the maximum possible node number is 500.
In general, this message means RNRP has received a "Connect Reply"* from an unexpected node, or a node having a different node number than it started off with (suggesting a change of node number).
*) which is exchanged each time when the RNRP service learns about a previously not seen node and interrogates it for reachability.
Can you share some more details and exact error message?
