ABB ACS580 VFD Emergency stop warning off2 (AFE1) tripping issue
We have checked the emergency circuit from the field and from MCC it was working fine. We have also bypassed the STO circuit(from drive to MCC) .The drive still generating AFE1 warning.kindly recommend me the solution for it.
Note: This warning is coming in VFD in both stopped and running condition, we do not have to reset the warning as it automatically resetting after 1 to 2 seconds and S7400 PLC is used.
Just to understand: is the ACS580 drive controlled via FieldBus?
If yes, and if as I think it is ProfiBus, you have to check the connections and peripherals of the drive (FPBA-01) and those of the PLC very well.
In fact, it is a typical signaling of connections in ProfiBus, which occurs if arrests or emergencies are involved.
What seems strange to me is that, from how you describe it, it seems to occur quite randomly, both while the drive is running and when it is stopped. For this I suggest a link check. Can you also indicate if this is a new installation or if the drive has been working for some time? If the latter, has anything changed recently in the installation? For example, you may have power cables that have been routed close to the drive-to-PLC link. In this case it would be a matter of disturbances, but we can understand it if you give some more information.
