Alarm and event handling in symphony plus system
I have a project with one symphony plus engineering server version 2.3 and two operation server version 3.3
The database includes 1000 tags in two major process area.
I need to deploy all tags in both servers normally but server 1 has all tags with all alarms in both areas
But second server has all tags also but only alarms for area 2 (not to include alarms for area 1)
How it possible to be done?
Is it related to NDC configuration?
Thanks

One tag can be configured with only 1 alarm group. And you need all tag on both server. I suggest assign the two area tags with different security level or group. Use separate user on these two servers. Different user can be assigned different security level/group and workplace layout.
I have not experience with 3.3 but with 2.0.6. I assume the setup is the same. If you do this with security or plant unit membership I think the operator in area 2 will not be able to control the tags in area 1. If I remember correct, an easy solution would possibly be to put tags in area 1 in in one alarm group and the tags in area 2 in another alarm group. Create an alarm list Alarmlist1 pointing to an alarm group that inherits the alarm group for area 1 and area 2. Create another alarm list Alarmlist2 pointing to another alarm group that inherits the alaram group for area 2. Operator1 use Workplace1 using Alarmlist1. Operator2 use Workplace2 using Alarmlist2. Tags belonging to Area1 shall point to a different sound index than tags in Area2. The sound wav file for the indexes used by tags in Area1 shall be a "NoSound" file on the operator client PC used by Operator 2.
So you don't separate this on the Servers, but with alarmgroups and operator workplace.
