Reviving misconfigured ACS310 after setting Modbus to RS232
Voted best answer
you have defined the communication of your drive through the RS232 constituted by the door of the programming panel. (Parameter 98.02).
Did you read the manual carefully before doing this?
Obviously, at this point, you should interact with the drive through a serial of a PC or a master of a PLC.
Unfortunately for you, if you have no idea how to make a dialogue between your PC and establish a prior which are the correct registers to use, you have basically cut off all forms of communication with the drive panel.
So the first suggestion remains valid: try to reset the drive - and at this point you can only do it with a Flash Drop unit, and then, I suggest you to use the serial 485 which is available in the terminal block, leaving the 232 of the panel for the right drive access, and the display of parameters / alarms.
you did not say which parameters you tried to modify for the RS232 communication, you probably unwittingly modify some of the parameters of group 52 that define the serial communication with the panel.
If so, I doubt that you will be able to restore the communication without resorting to some external tool, such as the port for communication with Flash Drop ...
I suggest you try to ask your nearest service ABB if they can restore the parameters with Flash Drop, because I doubt that the Drive Window Lite tool can also work.
Hope this help you
