AC500 PM573-Eth between ABB Zenon v8.00 communication with Modbus TCP/IP (Modbus energy driver)
Hi Everyone,
We have a system contain ABB Zenon Energy Edition v8.00 Scada and AC500 PM 573-Eth CPU. AC500 send to Scada a lot of data Dword, Word and Bool data type with Modbus TCP. We using Modbus Energy driver in ABB Zenon side. The problem is communication breaks at unspecified intervals and come back about 20-25 seconds after communicaton is lost. We use ETH_MOD_MAST function block in AC500 Cpu. Have you any experience about this system?
System information,
AC500 PM573-Eth CPU v2.8.0.0 (Modbus TCP)
ABB Zenon Enegy Edition v8.00 (Modbus Energy Driver)
Best regards.

Hi,
ABB zenon Modbus driver always acts as master and in that case, AC500 PLC will become Modbus slave.
ETH_MOD_MAST is only required if you configure AC500 controller as master. In case of slave, you just need to give M address to tags. Could you please clarify this point.

Ensure there is no problem in Modbus Network. Basic Ping Test over night or two three days might help.
