Resuming to the PLC normal program after a safety function is executed
What happen after a safety function is executed (for example, safe stop of a motor due to a detected failure) regarding the normal program ?
Can we launch a function of the normal program just after the safety function is executed ?
If a function of the normal program is interrupted by the execution of a safety function, does the normal function just resume afterward ?
If you know where i can read information about these specific points I'd be glad to look at it.
The safety circuit should lock out the motor completely until the fault condition is cleared and the operator has released the E-stop button. After the Estop is released, then the PLC can restart the motor.
Again ..... designing safety circuits requires an appropriately certified engineer. The requirements will be detailed in the engineering standards for your country.
